A Lot to Offer This is the web site for the Yorkshire Woods neighborhood. Yorkshire Woods is a neighborhood in the northeast part of Detroit. We are bordered I-94 on the east, Kelly Road on the west, Morang on the north and Houston- Whittier on the south. Yorkshire Woods is primarily a residential neighborhood. The core of the neighborhood is composed mostly of brick bungalows and 2 story colonial homes. The main streets that form the perimeter of our neighborhood contain a good mix of commercial businesses, apartments, churches and other services. We have parks and playgrounds and schools. We have great access to neighboring areas for shopping and recreation.

An Oasis in the City Yorkshire Woods is an oasis of beauty in the City of Detroit. Our tree lined streets shelter the brick and stone homes from the sun. The mature landscape sets off the beauty of the predominantly colonial architecture.

Real Estate
The substantial brick homes in our neighborhood have been steadily increasing in value, reflecting the core benefits of the neighborhood. Owners respond to this by improving their homes and yards, further increasing the quality of life here. Most of the homes are brick with limestone accents around windows and doors and at entries. Hardwood floors and thin-coat plaster predominate. Most homes have full or partial basements and attached or detached garages. A goodly portion of the homes are two-story colonials with more square footage than the typical brick bungalow.

We are located in the northeast corner of Detroit. This ideal location adjacent to main arteries such as I-94 and Kelly Road and close to 8 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue, makes our location a great one for accessing all parts of the SE Michigan area.
